The last fully authentic flying Japanese Zero

This Japanese Zero Fighter was captured on Saipan in 1944.  It was taken to Patuxent NAS and flown by selected American pilots including Charles Lindbergh.  It was restored to flying condition in 1978 after rescue from the scrap yard by Ed Maloney.  It is the only Zero still flying with the original Sakae engine.  This is truly a special airplane.  This aircraft was flown off the carrier Lexington to simulate the attack on Pearl Harbor.  It was recently in Hawaii for the filming of the movie "Pearl Harbor"
